It can be difficult to take that first step to get help with your finances, but our job is to make it as easy as possible for you to get your financial life in order. Here's what you can expect from our process:
Step One: Schedule a Call |
“There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth; not going all the way, and not starting.” – Buddha
Many people wait too long to start making a plan for their finances, but the sooner you start, the sooner you'll have financial peace of mind. Our first call is just a get-to-know-you chat, usually ten or fifteen minutes with Sarah. (Schedule it now!) If we think we can help you, we'll offer a free initial consultation so we can dig a bit deeper into your situation. |
Step Two: Gather Your Information |
You don't have to be super organized - we'll help you figure out which documents you need. Stuff like:
|
Step Three: Let's Meet Up (In Office or Virtually) | Our initial consultation is a free one-hour meeting. We'll review your information and tell you if we think we can help. As fiduciaries, our only goal in this meeting is to see if we can significantly help you with a financial plan. By the end, we'll be able to give you a flat fee quote based on your personal situation.
Check out our guide on choosing an advisor. Interview a few different advisors and make sure you're asking the right questions. |
Step Four: Take Your Time Before You Decide | After our meeting, we'll be able to know whether or not we'll be able to help you. If we're not a right fit, we'll give you referrals to other places that might be better suited for you.
We won't ever pressure you to sign up with us. Take your time, kick the tires of a few different advisors, and let us know if you have any follow up questions. |
Step Five: Hurray! Let's Begin! | Once you decide you want to hire us, we'll get things started right away so you have your financial plan in place. Any time you have a question about money - taxes, charity, home equity loans, IRA rollovers - you can pick up the phone and ask us to handle it. |
